Herd Sale

Here are the members of our Angora herd. Billy is the oldest buck and behind him is Cinnemon a faded red. Topper is the other buck but he's not in this photo. Billy is so dark he's almost a black.

Here is a little boy who was born much lighter and turned dark, he's a year. There is a nice silver in the background.

Sir Gallahad, Rooster

Sir Gallahad and his girls in the freshly roto-tilled raised garden bed.

We got Sir Gallahad from a friend a few years ago as a hand raised rooster, he has impeccable manners and never chases anyone including the dogs or the kids. He's a great rooster!

Pyrex Bake-a-Round

'Make the Best Bread Around with the Bake a Round'

Or so says the advirtising on the box!

A friend just gave this to me, complete with instructions with pictures even!
It says there are seven simple steps to use it:
1. prepare the dough.
2. grease the bake-a-round tube.
3. shape the dough into a loaf.
4. place the loaf in the bake-a-round tube.
5. let the dough rise in the tube, cover both ends.
6. bake in the oven.
7. remove baked bread from tube to cool.

It's kind of cool, a blast from the past and I sure don't ever remember seeing one before. I'll try it once and see how it goes!
